Youth Heroes Awards Ceremony

On 12 December 2022, the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace, Burkina Faso section, held the YOUTH Heroes AWARDS ceremony in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Throughout this event, different speakers took turns. After the presentation of IAYSP by Glory Ilboudo, the president of IAYSP Burkina Kwang Hée Divine Kabore presented the module 5 of character education with the theme “Conflict resolution in siblings”. Then the award ceremony started with the presentation of the medal to the laureate Valériya Biyen. The president of the Northern sub-region of the IAYSP, Pang il Diarra, recalled the 5 principles of a young hero and the president of the Northern sub-region of the FFWPU, Reverend Sou Dawere, addressed his words of congratulations. The ceremony ended in a convivial atmosphere.

During her speech of thanks, the laureate expressed her gratitude to IAYSP and her determination to continue these educational works for the youth of her country.The participants really appreciated and wished that such an event was held again.

This award is the starting point for collaboration between IAYPS and 22etsix on different projects like Peace Design and SINERGY.
