S!NERGY×AFRICA

IAYSP Africa region organized S!NERGY×AFRICA on December 26, 2020.

2862 people have pre-registered on this event and 1027 people participated in this event through Zoom and Youtube and around 100 people attended the event in the city hall of Avomey-Calavi on the day of the event. Canal+, one of the biggest TV stations in Western Africa, broadcasted this event 2 times on national TV in Benin.

Mr. Angelo Ahouandjinou, the Mayor of Abomey-Calavi City gave the welcoming remarks with his gratitude toward IAYSP.

This event aimed to promote young people to express their ideas to the society. At the same time, attendees can get inspiration from the young presenters.

There were 5 presenters from Burkina Faso, Benin, Angola, Zambia and Tanzania. Judges were the best youth heroes’ awardees from each sub region. All of them presented their actual projects with full of insight and passion. The first winner was Mrs. Alda Manuel from Angola, and 2nd winner was Dr. Abdarrah Ouedraogo from Burkina Faso. Mrs. Manuel expressed her gratitude and she said that she would be going to the international S!NERGY as the representative of Africa and make sure that Africa will shine the world.

At the same occasion, IAYSP Africa elected the best youth heroes’ awardee in Africa. Mrs. Beatrice Phiri from Zambia was elected. She is the environmental activist and she is educating children the environmental protection.
