Donation ceremony

IAYSP-Senegal in partnership with the Youth Center of Tivaouane-Peulh, have organized a donation activity, with the theme, “give without expecting in return” to commemorate the International Peace Day (September 21, 2021), at the Youth Center in Tivaouane-Peulh.

The purpose of the event was to make a donation with the youth to support some in need (Church, Daara, etc.). It was also focused on reconnecting with other organizations in order to resume activities.

The program as such started well before the exact day of the event. In order to gather all the donations, the president of IAYSP-Senegal, Jin Seong, made a round of collecting materials from the families who volunteered to donate. The donations was made of clothes, shoes, toys, etc.

On the day of the event, there were 5 of us, as symbolic representatives of each movement. Among these 5 participants, we counted Jin Seong, president of IAYSP-Senegal, another member of the Staff of IAYSP-Senegal named MEH Simon Désir, the president of the youth home of Tivaouane-peulh, Ibrahima Sylla and 2 of his substitutes.

The event began at 17:00 GMT with a message from President Jin Seong, then Ibrahima Sylla took the floor to address his gratitude for this donation. Then we continued with the handing over of the donations and the family photos to immortalize the moment.

The event concluded with a closing remarks from the President of IAYSP-Senegal and then thanks were given to all the youth for their participation and we hope to see them again for more activities.
