Dialogue Table VI. Mapping of Flood-propelled Areas – Case I Municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi
On December 6, the Dialogue Table for Peace was held on the theme: Mapping of flood-propelled areas – Case I Municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi. The dialogue was moderated by the Ambassador of Peace, Manuel Mateus. From this dialogue conducted online through the Zoom platform of YSP-Angola, 8 young leaders who were named in the end received the Peacemakers certificate from YSP.
The table under the theme: Mapping of areas proponsa to flood – Case I Municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi, concluded that demographic increase, forest deforestation and anarchic constructions hinder management policies – which conditions the control of changes in land use and occupation.
Possible solutions:
Ecological/environmental education, poverty eradication, income distribution policies and the promotion of inclusive and sustainable economic growth and employment for all – focusing on the fulfilment of the Un 2030 Agenda.
The table proposes that young people can do:
1. Promote meetings between the administrative power and the local community;
2. Motivate citizens to a more active awareness.
