Celebration of African Youth Assembly
In order to close the African Youth Gathering (which started on September 21 and will end today, September 24) and to celebrate the International Day of Peace and Clean-up, the members of YSP-MAROUA in collaboration with the members of the associations AJESME, Humanity First and Family Green Corps, have twinned these two events to celebrate them on September 24, 2022. After the peace march which started very early in the morning, the young people engaged in cleaning up, collecting plastic waste along the march route, in order to rid the environment of these hardly biodegradable organisms. Following this activity, hand painting took place. The starting point was at the green bridge and the finishing point at the governor’s department. The young people were very enthusiastic and enjoyed the event. More than 20 young people took part in this event. The aim was to get the message across to the population, in order to live better in peace and social cohesion and to overcome all the evils that undermine living together. On the other hand, the aim was to raise awareness of environmental protection and cleanliness around the population. The presence of the Sahel print media, which supervised the whole event, is to be acknowledged.
